Visa hires more developers to promote cryptocurrencies

Visa, the global payments giant, is expanding its crypto division with new software engineers. The company has posted several job openings for senior software engineers to help it develop and launch new products based on public blockchain networks and stabelcoin payments. The company has an “ambitious crypto-product roadmap” that aims to drive mass adoption of crypto.

The vacancies are based in London and require programming skills, building scalable backend systems and working with web3 technologies. Visa is also looking for candidates with experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 solutions, Solidity smart contracts and AI-enabled design tools such as Github Copilot. The positions are hybrid, meaning employees will have to work in the office two to three days a week.

Visa is actively involved in the crypto space, partnering with various platforms and providers to provide cryptopayments and services. The company has also shown interest in StarkNet, a second-tier blockchain built on Ethereum that could facilitate bill payments for self-service wallet users. Visa’s hiring of cryptocurrencies demonstrates its commitment to its crypto strategy and vision for the future of payments.
