In the next two years the Russian economy will recover faster than expected. The World Bank has improved its forecast for Russia’s GDP growth.

According to the development institute, in 2021 the growth will be 2.9 percent, in the next – by 3.2 percent. In January the organization believed that this year GDP will increase by 2.6 percent, and next – by 3 percent.

It is noted that the reasons for the improvement in the forecast are the smaller-than-expected decline in the Russian economy last year and the imminent lifting of coronavirus restrictions.
