The price of Brent oil futures soared above $71 per barrel for the first time since March 8, 2021. This is evidenced by the trading data of the London stock exchange ICE.

As of 16:06 Moscow time, the price of August Brent futures rose to $71.16 (plus 2.6 percent). The cost of American WTI crude oil rose above $68 per barrel, which was a record since October 2018.

World oil demand in the fourth quarter of 2021 will exceed 99 million barrels per day, according to OPEC Secretary General Barkindo. Such an indicator will return the market to the range of pre-pandemic levels.
