Apple’s value exceeded $2.5 trillion

Apple shares during trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange on Monday, August 30, rose to a historical maximum and closed the day at around $153.12 per share. As a result, the company’s capitalization exceeded $2.5 trillion, which was a record for American companies.

The tech giant is valued at $2.531 trillion ahead of trading on August 31. Among the world’s companies, only Saudi Aramco, the oil company of Saudi Arabia, has the best result – $7.01 trillion.

Apple’s shares began to rise since August 27, after the release of quarterly reports. It showed that the company’s revenue for the year grew by 36 percent, to a record $81.4 billion. Net income almost doubled – by 93 percent, to $21.74 billion, which means $1.3 per share.
