An employee of the Department of Economic and Financial Research assessed the risk of a collapse of the ruble and other currencies.

The economist stated that no events globally influencing its course should take place for the Russian currency, but recent months have already “taught them to be force majeure.”

“Even oil, which had strengthened to $70 per barrel, could not seriously affect the ruble, leaving it in the region of 74.5-75 rubles per dollar. The breakdown for the euro will be approximately the same as for the whole week – 89-91 rubles per unit of European currency”.
