Russian currency has risen sharply

The ruble rate soared against the dollar and euro in the first minutes of trading. The Russian currency has recouped part of the drop that occurred on Friday, January 22, according to the trading data.

As at 10:10 am on Monday, January 25, the dollar is traded at 74.76 rubles (plus 0.7 percent in relation to the opening of trading), and the euro – at 91 rubles (plus 0.66 percent).

The main Russian stock indices, the Moscow Exchange and the RTS, are growing by 1.2 and 1.7 percent correspondingly. They fell along with the ruble in the last two sessions.
