Russian President Putin assessed the growth rate of the Russian economy. The increase in GDP by the end of 2021 will amount to 4.7 percent, the head of state said during a speech at the APEC summit.

“We have already returned to the pre-pandemic level of GDP growth, and in 2021, according to our estimates, it will be up to 4.7 percent,” Putin said. The growth of world GDP by the end of the year, according to the forecasts of the head of Russia, will amount to 5.9 percent. Meanwhile, this figure will be even higher for APEC members – on average 6.4 percent. Putin noted that GDP growth in Russia will not be the highest in the region, but for the Russian economy it is “quite a good indicator”.
