The world’s economy is given the tasks

This year the world economy should focus primarily on the task of vaccinating the population, said the head of the IMF Georgieva. She called this a major focus for an effort soon.

“This and possibly next year the vaccination policy will be the most important part of economic policy, in terms of importance it may even surpass monetary and tax policy,” Georgieva said. In order for the world to achieve a sustainably high level of economic growth, it is necessary to vaccinate everyone, the IMF head is confident.

In April the IMF said that the end of the crisis “is being seen better and better.” The foundation based its estimates on higher vaccination rates and continued monetary and tax incentives, projecting global growth at 6 percent this year and 4.4 percent next year. However, the implementation of such indicators is highly dependent on how vaccination programs develop, including poorer countries.
