According to them, there is no need to fear scenarios with a ban on holding dollars or confiscating dollar accounts. This can only happen in the event of a war between Russia and the United States, but then everyone will have no time for currencies.

The experts also noted that the policy of the American authorities poses a much bigger danger to the dollar. Therefore, massive infusions of money initiated by the Biden administration, an increase in the national debt, a deterioration in the balance of payments and an increase in the budget deficit may negatively affect the exchange rate. Probably, the dollar will continue to weaken in the long term against the basket of currencies until investors are forced to “run into quality” due to the new crisis.
