The authorities of 21 American states wanted to sue US President Biden. They filed a lawsuit demanding to cancel the decision to stop the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the United States, according to the resource of Texas Attorney General Paxton.

The claim was filed to the federal district court for the Southern District of Texas. The American leader exceeded his authority when he signed a decree canceling the construction of the pipeline, the plaintiffs say. They ask to declare the decree as unconstitutional and to withdraw it.

Due to the cancellation of the project, at least 12 thousand people will not be able to get a job, and the authorities of some states will lose potential profits, the lawsuit says. “Biden has set the task of nullifying all the successes of the previous administration, completely ignoring the constitutional restrictions on his power,” said the Attorney General of Texas.
