If the United States deprives Russia of the status of a market economy, the country will lose from $75 to $100 million at an annual level. This amount was named by the head of macroeconomic analysis Christopher Dembik, commenting on the corresponding intentions of the US Department of Commerce.

“Basically, this is a technical thing. However, such a step can have serious consequences for the Russian economy and can exacerbate political tensions between the two countries even more,” Dembik said. He explained that a possible strike from Washington would hurt industrial exports and negatively influence the competitiveness of Russian enterprises.
