The PRC crisis reached its apogee

28.09.2021

Industrial centers in northeast China are facing an energy crisis. The provinces were forced to cut their electricity supply due to the lack of coal.

The major cities of Dalian and Shenyang, where more than 13 million people live, were affected. Also, the city of Jilin with a population of 25 million people, where the factories of suppliers of companies and Tesla and Apple are located, is experiencing problems. Media and social media users across the region are reporting blackouts of traffic lights, residential elevators, 3G mobile coverage installations and entire factories. Some shops are candlelit, and utilities say that water supplies are on the brink of being cut off.
