The capitalization of Microsoft for the first time in history exceeded two trillion dollars, over the past year the company has become a third more expensive, according to trade data.
After the initial public offering, the American IT giant took 33 years to surpass the trillion dollar mark. The company reached a new level in two years. Currently, only Microsoft’s main competitor is worth more than $2 trillion – Apple’s capitalization is $2.23 trillion.
In the course of trading the day before, all the largest companies in the Internet industry, the so-called FANGMAN group, which, in addition to Microsoft and Apple, includes Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Alphabet and Nvidia, went up.
