The Chinese brought down the European market

19.10.2021

The European market was opened by falling against the background of fears triggered by the deepening energy crisis and slowing economic growth in China. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index, as of 12:25 am Moscow time, fell by 0.37 percent to 467.68 points, according to trade data.

Meanwhile, over the past week, the index rose by 2.65 percent, which turned out to be the highest growth since March 2021. The hike was due to the start of the publication of financial statements, as well as expectations that states will be able to mitigate the influence of the energy crisis.
