Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng Motors has announced a new autonomous driving feature for electric vehicles. With this, he decided to challenge competitors like Tesla.

Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) will let the P7 flagship sedan change lanes automatically, accelerate or decelerate, overtake cars and take motorways. Drivers will receive a warning when they need to take control of the vehicle, for example during inclement weather or a traffic accident.

Xpeng is a Chinese electric vehicle startup. The Xpeng P7 sedan, a direct competitor to Tesla Model 3, began deliveries last June. The company sold 27,000 vehicles in 2020.
