China is bad for the environment

Tryings of the countries of the world to reduce the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere and make the world cleaner have been threatened by the largest consumers of coal – the United States, China and India. According to Bloomberg, they are preparing to ramp up consumption so much that the CO2 reductions recorded during the coronavirus pandemic will be useless.

For example, the United States plans to increase consumption by 16 percent this year, and then by another 3 percent in 2022. China and India, which together account for nearly two-thirds of demand, have no plans to cut it in the near term.

Despite the fact that only last year the PRC authorities promised that the country would come to carbon neutrality by 2060. But so far, China is the world’s largest emitter, using more coal than the rest of the world in general. Till now, the Chinese authorities have pledged to peak emissions no earlier than 2030.
