The previous maximum was set the day before – 3,990.77 points. The RTS index also rose in the course of trading, reaching the level of 1,734.16 points with an increase of 0.44 percent.

The dollar exchange rate was 72.7 rubles, the euro exchange rate was 86.37 rubles. By the time the news was published, Brent crude was trading around $72.70 a barrel (a decrease of 0.45 percent), the cost of WTI was $69.4 (a decrease of 0.86 percent), according to trade data.
