The price of gas in Europe has renewed a record and exceeded $543 per thousand cubic meters, according to trade data. It happened against the background of a fire at the Yamal plant of Gazprom near Novy Urengoy.

At 12:00 Moscow time, the price of the September gas futures on the TTF index was $546.3 per thousand cubic meters.

The explosion and fire occurred on the night of August 5, the fire was completely dealt with only by the morning of August 6. The incident can lead to the shutdown of the entire gas processing complex in Western Siberia. Because of him, production in the east almost completely stopped.
