Gazprom’s European supplies fell

11.08.2021

Gazprom continued to cut gas supplies through the Yamal-Europe pipeline due to the consequences of the accident at the plant in Novy Urengoy.

The capacity of pumping gas through the pipeline on the morning of August 11 was about one million cubic meters per hour. Therefore, from 08:00 Moscow time, it decreased by 20 percent, and compared with August 10 – almost 1.5 times.

The supply volumes began to decline on August 5 against the background of an accident at the gas condensate preparation plant near Novy Urengoy. A fire took place at the enterprise, as a result of which the supply of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), as well as gas production, suffered.
