European currency fell at a record price

The euro exchange rate has fallen below 90 rubles in the trading session on January 12 and it has made a record since January 4, according to trade data.

At the time of publication of the rate, the single European currency was traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange at 89.95 rubles. Thereby, decrease has amounted to 0.82 rubles or 0.89 percent compared with the level of the previous session’s closing.

In turn, the dollar was worth 74.05 rubles. Decrease has amounted 0.6 rubles or 0.81 percent compared with the level of the previous session closing.

Since the beginning of January the ruble has strengthened against the dollar and euro. The reason was the rise in oil prices which are reached their maximum values since March 2020.
