“We do not intend to completely abandon the dollar,” she admitted. Meanwhile, Nabiullina clarified that the currency structure of reserves reflects various kinds of risks, including those of an economic nature. In the decision on the structure of international reserves, Russia will take into account the change in the structure of the NWF.

“As for our reserves, as I said, we made the main changes in 2018, and these changes were based on the fact that we took into account both the profitability, of course, and the liquidity of various kinds of reserve assets.”
