The ECB has published fresh statistics on the change in assets on the balance sheet. The indicator for the week increased by €9.32 billion, against €22.02 billion a week earlier. The growth rate has halved, which is a positive signal for the European currency. The Federal Reserve will publish its statistics tomorrow night and we will be able to compare the two indicators.

Today, the Fed will triple the volume of transactions for the purchase of Treasury bonds to $6 billion, which will have a negative influence on the US currency rate. Meanwhile, I do not expect a strong weakening of the dollar, inasmuch as the United States can please investors with positive statistics on the ISM index for the services sector.
