Big problems for Amazon and Google

The G20 countries will support the agreement on the introduction of a global minimum tax rate for corporations, according to the link to a draft general statement by representatives of the G-20, which should be made following the upcoming meeting on July 9 and 10.

International companies such as US giants Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple will also no longer be allowed to avoid payments to the budgets of the countries in which they make a profit, according to the document. It pledges support for the core elements of the two key pillars of the OECD plan, which imply such measures to address the distribution of corporate profits.

The draft of the statement does not contain any specifics yet. Next week the OECD will organize a meeting with representatives from about 140 countries, which will have to agree on all the details.
