Some facts:

• Bitcoin is up 0.77% in the last 24 hours as of 4 p.m. in Hong Kong to US$19,906.86. Ethereum is up 4.47% in the past seven days today, rising 6.12% to US$1,658.68, according to CoinMarketCap.
• Other cryptocurrencies from the top 10 on CoinMarketCap also strengthened, with Solana up 4.04%, XRP up 2.51%, Cardano up 3.19% and Polkadot up 1.56%.
• Asian equity markets were little changed today. The Shanghai Composite was up 1.36%, Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 was up 0.025% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.12%.
• TerraClassicUSD and Ethereum Classic remain the leaders of last day’s gains. TerraClassicUSD gained 44.42% and Ethereum Classic gained 28.10%.
• Among the smaller altcoins, Flux, the native token of the Web 3.0 ecosystem of the same name, rose 16.77%. Bitcoin Gold, a hard fork of Bitcoin Cash, rose 15.93%.
• Over the past seven days, Flux has gained 31.34%, with some market participants attributing the rally to Flux’s Proof-of-Work blockchain as an alternative to Ethereum, which will soon switch to the Proof-of-Stake model.
