The price of AI-92 gasoline increased at the auction on March 12 to 55.75 thousand rubles per ton, breaking the historical record in May 2018.

During the trades, the cost of the AI-92 jumped by 1.71 percent. Since the beginning of the year, its price has increased by 12.33 percent. The increase in the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel at Russian filling stations in the first week of March is associated with rise in wholesale prices due to seasonal growth in demand.

Earlier, the government supported the ideas of oil companies to increase gasoline prices and decided to correct the damper mechanism in the fuel market. The prices included in it will be indexed in accordance with the level of actual growth in retail value.
