US Senator Rand Paul called the cryptocurrency a possible replacement for the dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

Paul criticized the dollar, saying that the US national currency was not backed by anything. Additionally, he said that he was amazed at the rise in digital currencies. “I wondered if cryptocurrency could truly become the world’s reserve currency against the background of losing confidence in government by more and more people,” Paul said.
