Dow Jones futures fall as worries about China derail market rally

28.11.2022

Dow Jones futures fell Monday morning along with S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures amid growing Chinese infection, lockouts and protests. Key economic data and notable earnings reports are due out this week.

The rally in the stock market produced significant gains during the shortened Thanksgiving holiday week. The Dow Jones hit a seven-month high. But the S&P 500 Index is approaching its 200-day moving average, a key resistance zone. Several economic reports are expected next week, including the November employment report. They will be key to Fed rate expectations.
