Sberbank shares are still in a fever

21.02.2022

Last Friday, Sberbank securities fell in price to 250.28 rubles (-3.95%). Trading volumes amounted to 69 billion rubles. But on Monday morning, the shares have already risen to 256.8 rubles (+2.6%).

The paper fever comes amid incoming news of geopolitical significance. Shares are very sensitive to sanctions and went into a drawdown at the end of the week. Now there is a rebound. Optimism based on the breakdown of the medium-term downtrend is decreasing, as it failed to gain a foothold above it.

So, now we can say more about consolidation in the corridor 245-285, rather than a change in the medium-term downtrend. Overcoming the level of 245 will allow going to the minimum prices in January.
