Gazprom has not booked additional transit capacities through the gas transmission system of Ukraine in the first-third quarters of 2022.

After Gazprom’s decision, gas prices in Europe jumped by more than four percent. Gas prices rose to $814 per thousand cubic meters, according to trade data. “The Ukrainian GTS Operator” has offered transit capacities from the first to the third quarter in 2022 at an auction. Additional volumes amounted to 9.8 million cubic meters per day through the “Sudzha” station and up to 5.2 million cubic meters per day through the “Sokhranovka” station. The offer remained unclaimed. “Gazprom” also refused to book additional capacities via the gas pipeline through Poland.
