The ruble rose against the euro before the close of the main trading session on the stock exchange on Friday, October 22. At 18:39, the euro was worth 81.91 rubles (minus 0.74 rubles), the dollar – 70.41 rubles (minus 0.68 rubles). The Russian currency was strengthened on the news about the increase in the key rate of the Central Bank by 0.75 basis points. Bitcoin fell by 3.78 percent to $61,266 per coin.

By the end of the trading session, the Moscow Exchange index decreased by 0.51 percent to 4196.96 points, the RTS index rose by 0.53 percent to 1877.99 points.
