A sideways trend should be expected during the day against the background of the weekend in the United States. American investors and bankers are resting today and it is unlikely that Asian traders will be active in the morning. No important macroeconomic statistics will be released today.

Stock markets in Asia may show slight growth on expectations of a meeting between the presidents of the United States and China, following which the degree of geopolitical tension may be reduced. At least investors hope for this, although I do not understand why they have such hopes. Apparently the situation here can be described with a well-known aphorism: the absence of bad news is positive in itself.
