Valery Korneichuk, a lecturer at the Department of Financial Disciplines of the Higher School of Financial Management, made a forecast of what the future of the ruble will be in the fall.

According to the expert, in October, the Russian currency may either maintain the trend towards strengthening or roll back to the April indicators. However, by the end of September, the value of the dollar will be in the range of 73-75 rubles, he said.

According to the specialist, in the long term, the dynamics of the ruble will be affected by such factors as inflation and the activities of the Russian Central Bank to contain it, the share of non-residents’ investments in OFZs, quotations for Russian gas and oil on the world market, as well as the results of the meeting of the American Federal Reserve.
