European gas price can reach $800

The gas price in Europe may soon exceed $800 per thousand cubic meters, the director of the Energy Development Fund told RT.

“It is primarily the influence of approach of winter, while the storage facilities remain at their minimum values. Meanwhile, prices in Asia also continue to be at a high level, and liquefied gas goes not to Europe, but to Asia,” the expert noted. Pikin predicts that the cost of one thousand cubic meters of gas will overcome the psychological mark in the near future.

The exchange price of gas in Europe on September 13 set a historic record again, reaching $730 per thousand cubic meters. At its peak, the cost was $740 per thousand cubic meters.
