Against the background of a coup in Afghanistan, the country’s national currency depreciated and fell to a record minimum. The Afghani fell 1.7 percent on Tuesday to 83.5013 per dollar, moreover, the currency is continuing to decline for the fourth day in a row.

The reason was political instability. Additionally, the head of the Afghan Central Bank, Ajmal Ahmadi, decided to leave the country after the Taliban captured the capital. Ahmadi also warned that there would be no more deliveries of dollars to the country.
