The US Department of Commerce will study the question of whether to continue to consider Russia as a country with a market economy, follows from the information of the department in the official publication of the US government’s Federal Register. They planned to deprive the country of the corresponding status against the background of the situation with the supply of nitrogen fertilizer – urea-ammonium mixture (UAN). The department received an appeal regarding the prices of products from a number of American enterprises. Now they are planning to analyze the situation in order to make further decisions.

“As part of the investigation, regarding fair prices for the urea-ammonia mixture from Russia, we considered that the applicant had provided sufficient evidence for the Ministry of Commerce to determine whether to continue to consider Russia as a country with a market economy in the application of anti-dumping duties,” according to the statement.
