Gold prices fell sharply despite optimistic forecasts. Experts predict that the precious metal will continue to fall in price.

The collapse of quotations happened at the beginning of the week – they dropped to a minimum in four months, reaching $1,677.9 (123 thousand rubles), although at the beginning of the year gold was trading at $1,900 (139 thousand rubles) per ounce. Later, prices corrected, but analysts are still pessimistic about the perspectives for the precious metal.
