The euro/dollar remains under pressure ahead of new statistics on the US employment sector

The euro/dollar remains under pressure ahead of new statistics on the US employment sector. The current quote in EURUSD is 1.1835. This high-performance regulator may “roll back” some of the support sooner than is currently thought. The comments provoked an increase in the yield on US government bonds, which supported the dollar’s position.

This simultaneously distracts attention from the rather weak release on private sector jobs from ADP for July. Statistics showed that the indicator rose by 330 thousand rubles against the forecast of growth by 695 thousand rubles and the previous level of 680 thousand rubles. There is no direct link between ADP data and Friday’s NFP release, but a general impression can be made. It is not very pleasant due to the difference in ADP data between forecasts and real figures by about two times. Capital markets started to “get a little nervous” ahead of the report this coming Friday.

This data is very important: investors are worried about whether the American economy will be able to recover as dynamically as before due to the accelerated spread of the coronavirus strain.
