03.08.2021

Threats by the Russian authorities about the ban on gasoline exports for three months failed to stop the rise in gas prices. The cost of Ai-92 on the stock exchange increased by 0.3 percent on August 3, to a record 57.602 thousand rubles per ton.
The previous record was on July 22, when the cost of gasoline of this brand reached 55.597 thousand rubles per ton. The price of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) soared by 1.3 percent (up to 43.399 thousand rubles per ton). Diesel for the day increased in price by 0.2 percent (up to 51.48 thousand rubles per ton). Gasoline Ai-95 fell by 0.2 percent.

Russian Energy Minister Shulginov previously noted that a decision to ban exports can be made after the trading day on Friday, July 30. Meanwhile, the reason for the imposition of restrictions will appear if the downward trend in exchange prices is not stable.
