Artem Tuzov, executive director of the capital market department at Univer Capital, in an interview with the Prime agency, pointed to a currency that can rise sharply in price.

According to him, the Russian economy is recovering from the crisis, and this has a positive influence on the ruble. Additionally, political tensions have been at their minimums since 2014, as evidenced by the agreements between the US and Germany on the “Nord Stream 2” gas pipeline.

However, the expert explained to the Russians that the growth of the national currency rate negatively affects the budget revenues from taxes from exporters. “Therefore, it is beneficial for Russia to maintain a high dollar against the ruble,” the expert said.
