The recovery of the European economy began

The EU statistical office (Eurostat) reported that in the second quarter of 2021, the eurozone economy began to recover, showing growth of two percent. The highest rates were shown by Austria and Latvia.

In the last quarter of 2020, the GDP of the eurozone decreased by 0.6 percent, in the first quarter of 2021 – by 0.3 percent. The current data on GDP growth jumped 13.7 percent compared to the data for the second quarter of 2020. The Central Bank of Europe predicts an increase in GDP growth to 4.6 percent by the end of the year.
