Electric vehicle company Tesla was able to double sales in the spring of 2021 from the same period a year earlier and bypass one of the main problems of the global economy.

The global chip shortage, which has hit car makers around the world, hasn’t stopped Tesla from selling more than 201,000 electric cars in the second quarter of 2021 – double the number in 2020.
