Facebook has become the youngest company with a market value of over $1 trillion.

This came against the background of a court decision to close the company’s antitrust case and reject two claims – from the FTC and from the state coalition. After that, Facebook’s share price reached $355.64 per share. Additionally, the company’s stock is up 30 percent this year thanks to the increased popularity of apps to keep in touch with friends and colleagues during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has led to steady growth in the company’s users and high demand for digital advertising.

Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft and Apple also crossed one trillion dollar threshold from US companies. The cost of the latter is over $2 trillion now.
