The portfolio of a private investor should contain assets denominated in US dollars, euros, rubles, possibly in yen and the currencies of Russia’s major trading partners.

In his opinion, despite the demarche of the Ministry of Finance, which announced the policy of abandoning the dollar in the structure of the fund, the share of the American currency should not be less than the euro. The economist noted that the willingness to switch to international settlements in international processes, emphasized by Russian President Putin, is bearing fruit, but “there is no need to talk about the substantial influence of these processes on the ruble against the dollar.”

Mironyuk also pointed out that the ratio of the volume of ruble assets to the volume of dollar assets should depend on the currency in which the portfolio holder is going to spend money in the future.
