Chinese smartphone and telecommunications equipment maker Huawei is set to fight the United States and the sanctions it has imposed in a new way. Particularly, the company will begin to develop new technologies for itself.

Among the areas in which Huawei is looking to develop are software and technology for “smart” cars. Meanwhile, the company does not intend to produce such machines.

In the field of “smart” cars, Huawei is preparing to cooperate with the Chinese BAIC Group. The first prototype, equipped with Huawei’s operating system Harmony OS and autonomous driving technologies, was released in mid-April.
