The agency refers to the report of the Swiss Re Institute. It says that in a worst-case scenario, China’s economy risks losing up to 24 percent by mid-century, the US – 10 percent and Europe – 11.

Experts reminded that global warming is worsening the influence of weather-related natural disasters, and it could lead to substantial losses in income and productivity over time. Emerging economies in the equatorial regions will suffer the most from rising temperatures.
