A joint study by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and the “Romir” holding showed that Russians believed in the future of their economy and began to look positively at its perspectives.

Compared to April 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic began and related restrictions were introduced, the number of respondents who believe that the economic situation as a whole will worsen in the near future has halved – 34 percent against 64 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the number of those who do not believe that the economic situation may soon improve has also increased – 43 percent against 21 a year earlier. However, as the authors stressed, this answer means that the respondents who chose it can save hope that the situation will stabilize.
