Powell said that this situation has happened because of widespread vaccination and strong fiscal and monetary support. “We feel like we are in a place where the economy will start to grow much faster and job creation will occur rapidly,” he said.

The head of the Fed added that the main risk to the economy remains the spread of the coronavirus. Therefore, he recommended continuing to observe the precautions.
