Tesla Musk broke the law by firing union activist Ortiz. This decision was made by the US National Labor Relations Office.

The regulator ordered Musk to delete his tweet criticizing the activities of trade unions. The company paid for the billionaire’s tweet and now has to renegotiate the confidentiality agreement. Tesla employees will cannot speak anymore to members of the press without special written permission.

Additionally, the regulator proposed to the management of the automaker to rehabilitate the dismissed activist at work, as well as compensate him for the loss of earnings and benefits. Tesla was also required to cancel corporate rules that prohibited distribution of union literature out of office hours.
