Former Minister of Finance of Russia Zadornov saw the resemblance between bitcoin and the MMM financial pyramid, popular in the 1990s. He expressed his opinion on the channel.

“There was Mavrodi and “MMM”, so for me bitcoin is a synonym for the same pyramid,” he commented. Zadornov called the growth of the cryptocurrency rate as an accident.

The financial pyramid “MMM” was organized in the 1990s by businessman Sergei Mavrodi. In the winter of 2020, social media users cast their eyes on the financial “game” that appeared on Instagram, the rules of which seemed similar to the description of “MMM”.
