World gas demand will rise soon

Global gas demand will grow by 2.8 percent in 2021 compared to last year.

The developing countries of Asia, Africa and the Middle East will be the main drivers of gas demand growth, according to the the expert’s predicts. They will account for up to 17 percent of the total. However, some developed countries in North America and Europe will not be able to reach consumption of 2019 by the end of the year.

Earlier, it became known that Gazprom will not increase physical gas supplies to Europe and completely reduced them along the Ukrainian route. Therefore, the Russian company wants to force European buyers to choose fuel from underground storage facilities (UGS) and buy gas at a higher price.
